About Us .....
I have cared for many children over the years and each child has a piece of my heart.
My career spans over 14 years, and even longer as a parent. Interacting with the children in my day home has shown me to appreciate the things we take for granted everyday and not let the craziness of life take over. The children and I take time to explore nature whether it's planting in the garden, observing an ants nest or watching tooth picks float down the sidewalk. These simple activities spark questions, and a different point of view from the eyes of your child.
Safety is top priority. I feel the importance to teach the children that when meeting a dog during our walks they must ask the owner if it is okay to approach and the proper way to greet the animal. Other aspects include crossing at crosswalks, waiting and watching for the driver to stop, and staying together as a group using the buddy system. During my time operating my business I am proud to say we have been accident free.
We pride ourselves on manners. Not only do we practice our please and thank you's we learn to say sorry and make things right with each other. This is the basic foundation for building social skills when interacting.
I am lucky to be part of your child's milestones whether it is learning to take their first steps, tie his shoes or zip her coat, snapping their fingers or whistling a tune. For that I am thankful.
I truly love what I do for a living and look forward to the unique dynamic your child will bring to our group.
My facility is located in North East Calgary and services families from Marlborough, Pineridge, Taradale, Martindale, Temple and Rundle areas.
